This is just the primer coat, but there’s a shot of our nursery now, a few actually!

Isn’t she beautiful!
Note Deann’s maternity work jeans are actually some of mine, tightened a little with rope. LOL!
Yes we’re painting the primer coat of a girls nursery blue. It’s going to be sky.
We have stars planned & everything.
We’re going to paint scenery on the wall & hopefully animals too!!

TORRINGTON — State and local health officials on Wednesday studied graphs showing a sharp spike in swine flu that dates to last week, the first sign that the second of three expected waves has arrived.

The second wave, which officially began following the end of the first wave of H1N1 infection in August, has claimed three lives, including a Litchfield County resident between the ages of 50 and 64 who suffered from other health problems. That fatality was reported to federal officials Tuesday; state Department of Public Health spokesman William Gerrish said a third death, in New London County, was reported to the state Wednesday.
Each wave is expected to last roughly six to 12 weeks, and Gerrish said the vast majority of victims recover at home. Torrington Area Health District See FLU , Page 5A

Not the best, but might be worth a chuckle.

To put all metaphors aside, I realized something today.
There is technology in existence today, that could be used to eliminate the reliance on microsoft as an IT vendor of choice.
The Iphone has shown & really could be termed a catalyst of this revolution.
Users are able to take hold of & rely on new interface’s, especially if they can make things so much more simplified.
What it has also shown, is that the infrastructure is in place to allow more robust connectivity to internet based resources. The app distribution model aside, a great deal of information seems to get transited & shared.
The seamless switching between networks makes things ubiquitous to users.
My thought is this, that a next Gen device (and there are some available that have the functionality today, however crude)
Say an Apple based touch screen portable device, with WiFi & cellular built in, at a cost point affordable enough, could be deployed & combined with services like Google-Apps based email & google Docs based file sharing, eliminate the need for small business’s to have Windows based servers, VPN’s & a whole host of other extra hardware.
Although, a properly configured device, could still connect to existing systems (in most cases)
Someone who can capitalize on this properly could be positioned to to properly de-throne the software monarchy as it stands today.
A teamup of Google & a hardware vendor & properly implemented OS is the only thing I don’t see yet. But I feel it could be upon us.

First of all, my apologies, the pictures seem to have un-ordered themselves.
There’s 240 or so pictures. Here’s a synopsis of what you’ll find :
-Pictures of our campsite & how it progressed during different stages. Added tarps & moved stuff, etc.
-The Blurry shots in the woods, I was trying to catch deer that where walking through the campsite, but our kodak can’t shoot slight motion in dusk.
-There’s scattered ones of our wet whale/puffin boat ride.
-The Kayak ones seem to have stuck together, somewhat. That was a nice 3 hours, we Kayaked across Somes sound to do a Geocache.
-Then there’s some pictures of our bike ride from the campsite Somes Sound view down to the town of South West harbor, & A letter box and Geocache along the way.
-There’s some botanical shot’s Deann took when we visited the Acadia wild garden. A great shot of one of the bubble rock’s.
-Our trip up to the top of Cadilac mountain & me flying my Kite up there!
-Misc other pictures I am getting too tired to forget…
Please don’t feel obligated to view them all at once, but enjoy!

Quick & dirty :
Best practice for profile recreation :
Delete temporary files from the users’s account. restart, log in as an Administrator. copy profile, then delete the original. delete any extra profiles with their name as well (i.e. %username%.000, %username%.001, ect
Log back in as new user. Copy items from my-docs & desktop & favorites & outlook.
A rename of a user folder isn’t the same as copy & delete. the registry makes “cls id’s” to (some) folders & a rename doesn’t change that. The “cls id” is a hidden attribute of a folder; thus the registry can still find certain files in the folder. A copy’d folder though,
wouldn’t have the same “cls id” (i kinda made up that name for it) that the original folder did.

Well, Deann & I found out that we can actually have a cat @ our apartment.
So we’ve been fortunate enough to come across someone who rescued some kittens.
For her safty, she’ll remain anonymous. — The kitty though, we shall call Fiona! — Here’s a picture, or 2 :
